The rules of procedure of the UN General Assembly provide that
the opening and the closing of the General Assembly each year
should begin and end with a minute of silence for prayer or
meditation. I suggest that a subject could be proposed by the
Secretary General for the prayer or meditation of all
delegates. It could be the success of a world conference or
the Earth or the seas and oceans or any subject which requires
the prayers of the representatives of humanity.
