[GMW #4274] Sustainability, Nurturing Applied To All Sectors Of Economics

[GMW #4274] Sustainability, Nurturing Applied To All Sectors Of Economics Friday 3 May, 2019, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography| World Core Curriculum | Store |Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish| Tagalog | Dutch Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000 ~ Idea 4662 ~ During my studies of economics at Columbia University immediately after World War II we were told that since air and water were free they had no value and therefore had no place in economics. Well, how wrong that statement is today! The water industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and the fresh air, oxygen industry will soon be too. Question: Which are our values of today which will be considered harmful and abnormal in fifty or in a hundred years? To live in overpopulated cities will almost certainly be a case.  To use excessively air travel and automobile transportation will be another. The notion of sustainability is a new, very important factor to be applied to many sectors of economics. [GMW #3459] A Yearly True Global Comprehensive World Budget For The Repair Of Earth

[GMW #3459] A Yearly True Global Comprehensive World Budget For The Repair Of Earth Friday 18 March, 2016, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography| World Core Curriculum | Store |Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish| Tagalog | Dutch Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000 ~ Idea 3858 ~ The Earth: "Dear Robert, I am so glad that you raised the subject of repairs. This is an important item for a family, for an industry, for a building, for an entire nation. It is important also for the biggest reality of all: the Earth, my nature. It is a good beginning to replant trees, but this is only a tiny aspect of the totality of repairs needed. It is the same with conservation. Humans are seeing this only from their egotistic, short-term point of view, namely to preserve the elements they need for living and not from the point of view of future generations and the fate of the living Earth as a whole. You must advocate a yearly true global comprehensive world budget in which my needed repairs would be treated as repairs and not included in the national product where they have no place." I: Dear Earth, you are so right. The problem is that the dominant, almost exclusive values are those of nations and big business and not of the Earth. There is only the beginning of some concern for the environment your nature. It seems that only major catastrophes will bring about the needed changes. The Earth: "And by that time so much will have been destroyed unnecessarily and blindly." [GMW #2666] Establishing Ministries of Peace, Happiness, Beauty & Dreams In All Government

[GMW #2666] Establishing Ministries of Peace, Happiness, Beauty & Dreams In All Government Friday 1 Mar 2013, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography | World Core Curriculum | Store | Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish | Tagalog |Dutch Idea Dream -Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 3500 ~ Idea 3059 ~    The trouble with our current civilization is that everything has to be measured, quantified in exact, precise terms.  This is why the predominant idea of contemporary humanity is to make money because money is an exact measurement, supposedly, of life and happiness.  This is also why a main purpose of education is to teach how to make money and to produce more goods and services. Typical of this situation is that we have Ministries of Finance, Economy, Industry, Science and Technology in all governments.  But we do not have any Ministries of Peace, Happiness, Beauty and Dreams. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,   Volume II  Chapter2  Of Happiness Do not expect happiness to fall from the skies.  Earn it, affirm it, cultivate it, treat it with loving care. * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. WORD FOR THE DAY I've learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances. -- Martha Washington More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller'sGoodMorningWorld.org

[GMW #2590] An Era Of Social And Public Visions, Inventions, Dreams, And Ideas

All public leaders in the world should solicit and collect ideas from their officials and from the public. This could become a new progressive people's democracy and "ideology" for the 21st century. If industry, science and business do it with an incredible intensity, there should be all the more reason for public service to do it too for the social benefit of all peoples. Let us open the 21st century with an era of social and public visions, inventions, dreams and ideas. This was not the case of the social sciences.  The 21st century must see to it that huge resources will be devoted to social sciences.  Our profit will be the preservation of nature, of the Earth, our biggest capital, bigger than all the banks, stock markets, billionaires and industries of the world.
