The big world corporations are busy doing it. The production, selling, consumption, accumulation, wastes’ and advertisement explosions in the western ‘rich’ countries and the continued population explosion in the poor countries will turn into major catastrophes. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living Chapter 10 - Of Dreams, Visions and Ideals If you give up your dreams you will loose much of the meaning of your life. * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women,IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. Daily Ray of Hope Photo by Victoria Morrow | Fox at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska Even for me life had its gleams of sunshine. ~ Charlotte Brontë More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org Click on any of these tags-labels to see more entries from Robert that have the tag-label:

[GMW #3996] Join The Movement Of Non-Consumers - Minimun Consumers - Essentials Consumers

[GMW #3996] Join The Movement Of Non-Consumers - Minimun Consumers - Essentials Consumers Tuesday 10 April, 2018, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography| World Core Curriculum | Store |Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish| Tagalog | Dutch Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000 ~ Idea 4389 ~ When I visit the gigantic supermarkets or shopping centers or galleries in the US and proliferating around the world, I hear the Earth say to me: "Dear Robert, all this merchandise is made with elements, with parts of my body and more than half of it is thrown away because it doesn't sell and cannot be kept. This cannot go on much longer. Why don't you launch a World Movement of Non-consumers or Minimum Consumers, or Essentials Consumers? The existing Movements for Simple and Frugal Living are not revolutionary enough. Only a People's Revolution can put an end to the overproduction and waste of my precious elements in all these overpackaged, overadvertised, wasteful products called 'goods'." Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation Chapter 1 Our Place in the Universe In the vast universe, we humans are true kings, almost Gods.  We know so much, feel so much, dream so much, query so much, discover so much. We will not rest until we see, know, feel and understand all there is in the heavens and on Earth. We unquestionably are of a cosmic nature. We want to reach the outer expanses of the universe. We are a transcending species capable of lifting itself beyond its capacities and senses by a universal urge. We are stupendous little nebulas of life on a tiny, solid, watery, warm planet, trying to reach out for the stars and the outer limits of heaven. What a prodigious species we are! What an exciting adventure it is to be human! What a teeming laboratory, what a palace full of treasures our planet is in the vast universe! * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. WORD FOR THE DAY Although we have been made to believe that if we let go we will end up with nothing, life reveals just the opposite: that letting go is the real path to freedom. ~ Sogyal Rinpoche More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 1 - The Span of Life Every day is a resurrection Every day is a revelation Every day is a salvation Every day is an astonishing miracle * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. DailyGood You can't test courage cautiously. ~ Annie Dillard -- Teach Girls Bravery Not Perfection "[M]any women I talk to tell me that they gravitate towards careers and professions that they know they're going to be great in, that they know they're going to be perfect in, and it's no wonder why. Most girls are taught to avoid risk and failure. We're taught to smile pretty, play it safe, get all A's. Boys, on the other hand, are taught to play rough, swing high, crawl to the top of the monkey bars and then just jump off headfirst. And by the time they're adults, whether they're negotiating a raise or even asking someone out on a date, they're habituated to take risk after risk. They're rewarded for it.... In other words, we're raising our girls to be perfect, and we're raising our boys to be brave." Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, shares more in this thought-provoking TED talk. { read more } Be The Change Encourage those you meet, especially girls, to take chances and risk being wrong.
