[GMW #4500] A Miraculous And Incredibly Beautiful Earth For Humans To Nurture & Treasure As If They Were Beautiful Gods

[GMW #4500] A Miraculous And Incredibly Beautiful Earth For Humans To Nurture & Treasure As If They Were Beautiful Gods Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

~ Idea 4886 ~
God made only one mistake when he created the Earth: it was to create man. Of course he had an excuse, it was the last day of his hard labor to create a miraculous, incredibly beautiful paradise Earth and He was tired.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living
Chapter 7 - Of Optimism

Pessimism and optimism have both their nutrients: pessimism seeks everything bad and wrong to feed itself; optimism looks out for everything good and right for nourishment.

[GMW #4499] Be Caretakers And A Gardeners Of Our Precious Earth, Our Home

[GMW #4499] Be Caretakers And A Gardeners Of Our Precious Earth, Our Home  Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

~ Idea 4885 ~
We should be the caretakers, the gardeners of our precious Earth, our home, not her wholesale consumers and destroyers.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living
Chapter 7 - Of Optimism

During the fortieth anniversary of the UN, of which I was in charge, I underestimated the number of heads of states who would attend the celebration by 14 percent. In view of this, I decided to increase my overall optimism by the same percentage.

In an age of acceleration, nothing can be more exhilarating than going slow. And in an age of distraction, nothing is so luxurious as paying attention. And in an age of constant movement, nothing is so urgent as sitting still.

[GMW #4498] Publish Vast Numbers Of World Statistics On Consumption As On Production

[GMW #4498] Publish Vast Numbers Of World Statistics On Consumption As On Production Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

~ Idea 4884 ~
There is an urgent need for at least as many statistics on consumption in the world as there are on production.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living
Chapter 7 - Of Optimism

I have become known as the optimist in residence at the United Nations. When I made the optimistic prediction that the cold war would end before this century was over, I was considered a fool. Later delegates and colleagues congratulated me for my prophecy. As an answer I told them what my new optimisms were.

We did not ask for this room or this music; we were invited in. Therefore, because the dark surrounds us, let us turn our faces toward the light. Let us endure hardship to be grateful for plenty...We did not ask for this room or this music. But because we are here, let us dance.
~ Stephen King

[GMW #4497] Human Beings Are Miracles, Not Targeted Consumers Or Employed Producers

[GMW #4497] Human Beings Are Miracles, Not Targeted Consumers Or Employed Producers Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

~ Idea 4883 ~
In our overmaterialistic society, dominated by production and profit the human being is no longer a miracle, he is a targeted consumer and/or an employed producer.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living
Chapter 7 - Of Optimism

I read these two opposing inscriptions on two tombs of a cemetery in Switzerland:

"We will love each other beyond our life, for love is in the soul and the soul does not die."

"The life of man passes like grass
He will pass like light breath
One will not even recognize the place he occupied."

Optimism and pessimism reach even into death!

My herald thought into a wilderness:
There let its trumpet blow, and quickly dress
My uncertain path with green, that I may speed
Easily onward, thorough flowers and weed.
