[GMW #4561] Think Constantly Of A Better Future For Humanity & Nature

[GMW #4561] Think Constantly Of A Better Future For Humanity & Nature  Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4551 ~
The Earth:
"Dear Robert, you are here for a weekend in Manuel Antonio, one of what humans call a prestigious sea resort on my surface. Here you can see the vast Pacific Ocean, the greatest of the two thirds of my water covered surface. What are you feeling?"

I:
I prefer the mountains, sacred Mt. Rasur and the UN University for Peace, which are closer to the heavens and have a purer air.  There one thinks constantly of one's future and of the future of humanity.

Here, with all these hotels, motels, advertisements and eco-tourism one almost wishes that humans would cease growing in numbers.

The Earth:
"Well, it has started: the western population is expected to diminish by 40 million between now and the year 2050."

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 4 - Our Place in Time

The time dimension of human disciplines varies enormously:  the exact sciences are generally very future oriented, while the social sciences usually relish with the past and with limited areas.  In order to foster the emergence of a global human family and prepare for proper Earth government we need more future oriented social sciences.  In particular we need:

a global anthropology
a global philosophy
a global sociology
a global psychology
a global spirituality, etc.

Margaret Mead used to say to her students:
"Go and study the United Nations which is for young anthropologists today what New Guinea was during my youth."

We don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.

[GMW #4116] Progress - Not Building, Not Consuming, Not Traveling, Not Getting Richer, Not Growing

[GMW #4116] Progress - Not Building, Not Consuming, Not Traveling, Not Getting Richer, Not Growing   Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4506 ~
Looking down at Los Angeles from the air it struck me that perhaps the time has come when not growing, not building, not consuming, not getting richer, not traveling and transporting enormous quantities of things and innumerable people will be called progress.

We must consider the Earth to be our real, biggest, essential, most valuable treasure.  Earthcapitalism should be the new ideology.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home

Intellectual qualities are superior to physical qualities; moral qualities are superior to intellectual qualities; and spiritual qualities are the highest of all. This is borne out by our daily observations:  a person endowed with a good physique and a fine mind is superior to one having only a good body; a person who has also good moral qualities is superior to the former; and most admirable is he or she who has a good physique, a great intelligence, a good heart and a soul in communion with all humanity, with God and the universe.

The same is true of any social group, from the family to the entire human race. Our present human family is still very imperfect because:

- it has not yet assured good physical lives to all its 6 billion members: more than a billion still go hungry;

- it has not yet provided for good mental lives for all: there are still 800 million illiterates;

- it has not yet become a moral world: there are still many wars, injustices, inequalities, violence, hatred, lies, miseducation, misinformation, corruption and dishonesty on our planet;

- it is not yet a spiritual world: we have mostly earthly, materialistic concerns and seldom lift our minds, hearts and souls to the universe and to the eternal stream of time.

Humanity has still a good way to go.

[GMW #3675] Humanity's Passage From Kindergarten To Adulthood

[GMW #3675] Humanity's Passage From Kindergarten To Adulthood Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4070~
Humanity is only in the kindergarten of its global age. Our present crises and anxieties are the childhood's growing pains of our passage to adulthood.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume III - The Seasons of Life
Chapter 5 -
Of Adulthood

Every human person carries along a world which is made of all that he has seen, done and loved. We become deeply aware of that when we are adults.  We must feel enriched by it, not bewildered.

[GMW #3648] Create A Beautiful World Locally & Globally Where Corporations Do Not Monopolize

[GMW #3648] Create A Beautiful World Locally & Globally Where Corporations Do Not Monopolize Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4043 ~
It is a mistake to leave to business the monopoly of the word 'multinationals'.

Many other multinational phenomena are growing in the world, e.g. multinational associations, organizations, religions, unions, professions, even families. It is surprising that business has not gone a step further and tried to monopolize the word, 'planetary'.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume III - The Seasons of Life
Chapter 4 -
The Highpoint of Human Life, Youth

Cosmic energy and life forces are at their peak in youth. Never forget it. You are the highpoint of human life, of the cosmic way, of cosmic evolution.

[GMW #3430] Making Your Fullest Contribution To A Better World

[GMW #3430] Making Your Fullest Contribution To A Better World Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 3500
~ Idea 3829 ~
I am telling and repeating to Barbara that she should not be working for me, helping me, but should work in total equality with me, each one making his fullest contribution to a better world.

I underline the fact that I am eighteen years older than she is and that in all likelihood she will live beyond my death. I gave her the example of General Harbottle from the United Kingdom who was the head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Troops in Cyprus and I was his political advisor.

I recommended to him when he left that office that he should create a World Association of Former Generals and Admirals for Peace. He did. It is a very important, prestigious movement established in England. And when he died it was his wife, Eirween Harbottle who continued his job, became the new president of that association and wrote among others, a magnificent model for Ministries of Peace, which should be created in all governments on the Earth. I reproduced her text in Vol. III.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II The Art of Personal Happiness
Chapter 3 - Of Consciousness
Life is trying
Life is learning
Life is searching
Life is asking
Life is growing
Life is never-ending
For life is the universe
become conscious of itself in every one of its sentient beings,
its children, its living cells, in you and in me.
