[GMW #4706] Give First Priority To Humanity & Earth - Over Science, Technology, Business And Media

[GMW #4706] Give First Priority To Humanity & Earth - Over Science, Technology, Business And Media Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

~ Idea 6091~
Everything is looked at intensively when it is announced as new products, new means, new fashions, new ways of living, new aviation schedules, new tourism areas, etc.

Why do we not show the same care for the state of the human society, the world population, all of humanity, its many groups, happiness, etc.? Humanity remains second rate and so does our Mother Earth.

It is most urgent that humanity and the Earth should be given priority over science, technology, business and the media, which often do more harm than good.

I mention a few of what should be world priorities:

the care of the Earth, her waters, her air, her soils, her seas and oceans

to get rid of colossal expenses for militarism and armaments, especially atomic ones

an expected population explosion of three billion more people in the poor countries

climate changes, overbuilt cities, painful transportation systems, etc.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living
Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude

De Gaulle wanted to give France the best chance in the world.

Robert Schuman wanted to give Europe the best chance in the world.

I want to give all humanity the best chance in the world.

[GMW #4176] Ending Nonsensical Transportation & Other Artificial Desires & Cravings

[GMW #4176] Ending Nonsensical Transportation & Other Artificial Desires & Cravings Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4566 ~
Is it not nonsensical to be transported by airplane and/or to drive many miles to go and spend precious time in a hotel on a seashore?  Why this artificial desire, craving or must feeling?  Because other people are doing it and bragging about it?  All this is vastly and expensively well orchestrated, programmed and advertised by the tourism and hotel industry, almost world-wide.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 4 - Our Place in Time

A 13 year old girl of a Robert Muller School wrote:
"We should study the mistakes we made in the past.
We should correct our current mistakes.
We should prevent mistakes in the future and prepare a better world."

What a wonderful concept of history this is: history as the study of our mistakes!  Few are the historians who have conceived it in such a useful way!

[GMW #4174] Elders End Tourism - Live Well Locally Instead

[GMW #4174] Elders End Tourism - Live Well Locally Instead Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4564 ~
Please elderly people of the overdeveloped countries, do not go on tourism anymore. It often destroys the environment and benefits primarily the tourism and hotel businesses. Stay at home and help save your own, local environment. You may also wish to help financially deserving environmental projects in poor countries.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 4 - Our Place in Time

I am part of a vast interdependent flow, from the I through the family, the group, the nation, humanity and the globe to the heavens and universe.  Pantha rhei as the Greeks said: i.e. everything flows.  I, my family, my group, my nation, humanity, the globe, the heavens and the universe, everything is interdependent and flows in the eternal stream of time.

The sun just touched the morning;
The morning, happy thing,
Supposed that he had come to dwell,
And life would be all spring.

[GMW #4119] Being A 'Developed' Planet Or Nation Should Not Mean Destroying Parts Of Planet Earth

[GMW #4119] Being A 'Developed' Planet Or Nation Should Not Mean Destroying Parts Of Planet Earth   Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4509 ~
In the year 2050 we are expected to be 9 billion humans, 3 billion more than today; there will be tens of thousands of new products; innumerable new cars and airplanes; many more books, magazines and newspapers; innumerable computers and television sets; infinitely more telephone calls and electronic mail; world tourism; insurances for anything you can think of; but you will have to buy fresh water and carry oxygen bottles on our shoulders to breathe fresh air; the media will make sure to have exciting, especially bad news every day; advertisement will help you to buy more and more anything forever; the supermarkets will be sky-high hyper markets offering you, in addition to any products on Earth, sleeping facilities, movies and entertainment. Most surfaces of our planet, mountains, forests, rivers, seas and oceans will be occupied. There will be even cities on the seas and oceans and in the atmosphere.

Yes, dear humans you will have the greatest time on a 'developed', no longer primitive, but half destroyed planet Earth.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home

UN Secretary General Dag Hammarskjöld and U Thant had different views regarding the allegiance of world servants:  for Dag Hammarskjöld world allegiance was the rule, superseding national allegiance.  U Thant for his part was allegiant to himself, to his family, to his culture, to his nation, but also to humanity and the Earth.  His belief in multiple allegiances is closer to the true reality of life, namely diversity in unity.

I love to watch the fine mist of the night come on,
The windows and the stars illumined, one by one,
The rivers of dark smoke pour upward lazily,
And the moon rise and turn them silver. I shall see
The springs, the summers, and the autumns slowly pass;
And when old Winter puts his blank face to the glass,
I shall close all my shutters, pull the curtains tight,
And build me stately palaces by candlelight.
