[GMW #2588] Advice For A New Prime Minister

[GMW #2588] Advice For A New Prime Minister Tuesday 13 Nov 2012, Editor: Easy | RobertMuller.org | Contact | Subscribe | Unsubscribe | Biography | World Core Curriculum | Store | NEW Facebook | Twitter | GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish | Tagalog | Dutch | Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1501 to 2000 ~ Idea 1585 ~ 12 November 1998 Earlier this year I was asked to give advice to a 35 year old new prime minister, the youngest prime minister ever in the history of his country. This was my advice: - never accept to deliver a speech which does not contain a concrete idea. - address yourself every morning to the entire population in a Good Morning television program. - remain in very close touch with the people by having televised fireside chats with them on Saturday or Sunday evenings. - create a Vice-presidency for Global Affairs and the Future following the example of the United States which has created a Vice-presidency for Global Affairs. - consider the United Nations to be your own affairs and not belong to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The latter should deal only with bilateral relations with other countries but the United Nations should be your direct responsibility. - keep an open telephone line with all other heads of states, day and night. - write down every idea that comes to you in any field possible. Come up with 2000 ideas and try to implement them. - keep a Journal of your philosophical thoughts, similar to Dag Hammerskjold's Markings. - follow the example of President Kennedy and decide to open yourself every thousandth letter sent to you in order to remain in touch with the people. - in your public appearances, Good Morning show and fireside chats encourage the people to send you concrete ideas and complaints about injustices or things which should be corrected. Give every month a prize to the best idea or suggestion sent to you. I learned that the young man had become the prime minister because during three years he traveled all over the country speaking directly with the people and acquainting himself with their problems, dreams and ideas. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,   Volume II  Chapter 2  Of Happiness Be honest, sit down and count the number of happy days you had in your life, in a year, in a month or in a week.  And then ask yourself:  why not more? In my case, since I started to concentrate on happiness, every day became a happy day. * UN News Sources - UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service , UN Wire News Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children, Women, Indigenous People To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. WORD FOR THE DAY May God protect us, grant us wisdom's fruit; may we gain energy to know the Truth; may our intellects grow clear and bright; may we cherish no ill feelings toward anyone. [GMW #1860] A Secretary Of State For Global Affairs For Every Country On Earth Meeting Annual To Work Together For The Good Of Humanity And Of The Planet Thursday 17 December 2009, Editor: Easy | RobertMuller.org | Contact | Subscribe | Unsubscribe | | GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish | Tagalog | Dutch | Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1 to 500 ~ Idea 84 ~ 2 October 1994 I applaud the decision of President Clinton to establish the new position of Under-Secretary of State for Global Affairs. Every country on Earth should have one. They should meet annually and work together for the good of humanity and of the planet. * Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III Chapter I - The Span Of Life Every day is a new day. But in reality there is no end to a day: the sun slowly and unceasingly wakes us up and shines on us as the Earth revolves around herself. So it is with life: we are born from the Earth and will return to the Earth in an incredible, unceasing, cosmic journey. I sometimes cannot even conceive death. Whoever invented, coined that word, that concept of a total destruction and end? * UN News Sources - UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire News Archive New: References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children, Women, Indigenous People To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. "The most powerful agent of growth and transformation is something much more basic than any technique: a change of heart." - John Welwood, HeartMath.com Most of All, They Taught Me Happiness by Dr. Robert Muller To order: Phone: 800-727-2782 Email: Becky@ParaPublishing.com Fax: 805-968-1379 Mail: Amare Media c/o Para Publishing, PO Box 8206 Santa Barbara, CA 93118-8206.
