[GMW #3848] Anticipate Long Term Consequences - Act To Prevent The Terrible Harms, Nurture The Beautiful

[GMW #3848] Anticipate Long Term Consequences - Act To Prevent The Terrible Harms, Nurture The Beautiful Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4243 ~
I must repeat that the world population explosion in the poor countries was not their fault but the fault of the western countries. These people did not have too many children and they knew that the majority of them would die in their infant age. And then point four of President Truman came saying we cannot let these children die in such large numbers in the poor countries. Let us help them survive. And the experts went there and helped prevent to a large degree the mortality of those children.

But not knowing the long-term consequences, not even knowing what the world population was in those years when this happened, it did not occur to anyone to tell the people in the poor countries that they did not need an average of six children to be born to have at least two left to take care of their old age or for the cultivation of their land.

So they went on having six children and by the time the United Nations created a major World Population Division with the right statistics and censuses in the world, it was too late. The children were born and the populations in those countries were young people who are highly reproductive.

It takes many years to reverse such a global phenomenon. Even today in 2001 we will still have at the end of the year 76 million more people on this planet.

The Span of Life
My evening prayer:
Thank You, O God, for having let me live another day, for having let me see so many things, thought so many thoughts, felt so many feelings.

Each day is one of Your incredible, precious gifts.

Thank You, O God.
I love you immensely for the miracle of my life.

[GMW #3447] Thoughtfully Consider Ideas & Actions In Anticipation Of Actual Catastrophes

[GMW #3447] Thoughtfully Consider Ideas & Actions In Anticipation Of Actual Catastrophes  Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4242 ~
When actual catastrophes and major troubles will occur on this planet for lack of anticipation and action it might be too late to look into my 5000 ideas and proposals. It is now that they should be considered.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume III - The Seasons of Life
Chapter 1 -
The Span of Life
Every day is a new day.

But in reality there is no end to a day:
The sun slowly and unceasingly wakes us up and shines on us as the Earth revolves around herself.

So it is with life:  We are born from the Earth and will return to the Earth in an incredible, unceasing, cosmic journey.

I sometimes cannot even conceive death.
Whoever invented, coined that word, that concept of a total destruction and end?

[GMW #3446] Annual ShuAdGa World Prize For A Person Nurturing The Nations Of Planet Earth To Nurture A Better World For Everyone - People & Nature

[GMW #3446] Annual ShuAdGa World Prize For A Person Nurturing The Nations Of Planet Earth To Nurture A Better World For Everyone - People & Nature Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4241 ~
I proposed that the European Union should create a yearly Robert Schuman Prize to be given to the statesman or woman who has done the most to create a union among states on the planet.

I further recommend that a prize be also given by the three countries whose leaders did the miracle of the European Union, namely France (Robert Schuman), Germany (Konrad Adenauer) and Italy (Alcide de Gasperi).

Those three countries should create a world prize in the name of each of these three men, a prize as big as a Nobel Peace Prize. (Schuman, Adenauer, Gasperi - ShuAdGa)

[GMW #3845] Life Beyond Boredom, Dissatisfaction & Envy

[GMW #3845] Life Beyond Boredom, Dissatisfaction & Envy Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4240 ~
One consolation to be a member of the human species nowadays is that you get never bored. There is always something going on, there is always a lot to keep you dissatisfied or envious of. Thus life passes by at least in an interesting non-boring way.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume III - The Seasons of Life
Chapter 1 -
The Span of Life
I am happy for my past, my present and my future.
I am happy with myself, with the Earth and with the universe.

[GMW #3844] First Lady Of The World - A Woman Secretary General Of The United Nations

[GMW #3844] First Lady Of The World - A Woman Secretary General Of The United Nations Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4239 ~
It might be a bad mark for human history that the mandate of Secretary General Kofi Annan was renewed for another five years far ahead of time, and with such unanimity of the members of the Security Council. In my opinion and that of many women in the world the time is long overdue to consider for the first time the election of a woman as Secretary General of the United Nations. It is hard to understand that with all the prominence given to the debate on the equality of rights of women and men in the world fifty-five years have passed without a single time a woman being considered for Secretary General of the first world organization on this planet. In my opinion history and women will not forget it. Please read my novel First Lady of the World.
