[GMW #3995] Write Ideas For A Better World They Can Change The World And Humanity For The Better

[GMW #3995] Write Ideas For A Better World They Can Change The World And Humanity For The Better Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4290 ~
When I peruse volumes of my ideas I often come up with new ideas inspired by those I read.

May I suggest to my readers that when this happens to them they should write down their ideas.

Coming from many people around the world such ideas might change the world and humanity for the better. Do not hesitate to send them to me or to your Congressman or to the President of your country (read my story, A Letter from a Boy to a Prime Minister in Volume VIII).

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 5 - The Miracle of Individual Life

I love the Hindu concept of Trilokonath: one who is able to live on three planes - the plane of inner life, of outer life and the life above, the heavenly, cosmic, angelic or spiritual life.

This is the cosmic, divine characteristic of us humans:  we can aggrandize ourselves from our inner and daily life to the totality of humanity, of the planet, of the universe and of infinity. It applies to any group which has an inner, an outer and a spiritual, cosmic life.

To participate in these lives aggrandizes our own personal lives.

Our time consumes like smoke, and posts away;
Nor can we treasure up a month or day:
The sand within the transitory glass
Doth haste, and so our silent minutes pass.

[GMW #3735] Create Courts Of Ethics For The Media And In All Fields

[GMW #3735] Create Courts Of Ethics For The Media And In All Fields Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4130 ~
Since the world is so concerned these days with the question of ethics, especially in the media, I recommend that all nations follow the example of Sweden and Costa Rica and create Courts of Ethics for the Media.

Even better, Sweden and Costa Rica should extend the competence of their current Courts to all ethics, not only ethics in the media, and all countries should establish right from the start Courts of Ethics without any restriction to any field. See also Idea 307 in which I recommend the creation of a World Court of Ethics.

The Span of Life
Old person: I am old and I can't do any good anymore.
Young person: please tell me stories, you will do me a lot of good and I will love you.

[GMW #3036] The Cleanest Mile on Earth: A Road Cleaning Assignment

[GMW #3036] The Cleanest Mile on Earth: A Road Cleaning Assignment

Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 3500
~ Idea 3430 ~
Two years ago I sent to all my grandchildren my story The Cleanest Mile on Earth. One of them who is a Boy Scout told me that as a result in his school district the Boy Scouts have a road cleaning assignment. He is part of a Boy Scout team in charge of cleaning five miles. Bravo! After all, some of my ideas have an effect.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I Chapter 6 I and Creation
Do we really, truly speak and express our deepest feelings, thoughts and beliefs? Do we let God and the essence of life speak through us? Or do we repeat what others, society, a nation, the media, educators, business, marketing and advertisement tell us to repeat? We must ask ourselves that fundamental question.

WORD FOR THE DAY

Prayer is sitting in the silence until it silences us,
choosing gratitude until we are grateful,
praising God until we ourselves are a constant act of praise.

[GMW #2376] Primitive Political and Economic Management of our Planet

Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1001 to 1500
~ Idea 1219 ~
11 November 1997
In a hundred years people will be astonished at the state of the world of today. They will admit that we made many progresses, as we admit it when we look back one hundred years, but they will hardly understand that we could be so primitive in the political and economic management of our planet, stagnating in philosophical, social and spiritual retardedness. It will be rewarding for me to see that from heaven and to rub my hands for having written unorthodox ideas, considered crazy or at best ahead of their time, which helped that evolution. I will keep a record at that time of all my ideas which were implemented during the 21st century.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude
What is this concept of spirituality? In my view it is very simple. It is what I felt as a little boy. It is to receive from the religions help to understand the mystery of the universe and time. This is what all religions have in common. They help us, they elevate us, while the mysteries of the universe and time have never been resolved by the scientists, not even by Einstein. They will always remain mysteries. Religions give us hope that there is a soul in us which binds us as sentient beings with the entire universe and time, that we are children of God, active, living cosmic beings, each one the true miracle I felt already to be as a child.
As a consequence I created several spiritual associations in the UN and brought many outside spiritual organizations in contact and relation with the UN. I had contact with the Mayor of Assisi who at my suggestion arranged for the Pope to have yearly meetings in Assisi with the heads of other religions. I convinced U Thant to invite the Pope to the UN and was put in charge of that visit. I could write a whole book What the UN Taught Me About Spirituality as I wrote "What War Taught Me About Peace".

An Amazon Tour Guide's Inspiring Story
Nearly 21 years ago, Patty Webster landed her dream job as an adventure tour guide in the Peruvian Amazon. But as she shared the area's beauty and culture with tourists, she realized there was a darker side to the rainforest paradise. "I saw how poor they were and realized that people were dying because they didn't have medical care," Webster said. She started sharing her supplies with the locals and soon began waking up to find people waiting outside her mosquito net to ask her for medicine. At one point, Webster -- who had no medical training -- gave someone stitches, following instructions from a book. "It was kind of scary," she recalled. "If they're depending on me for their health care ... we're all going to die." That's when she decided to stay and do something more. { read more }

Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1001 to 1500
~ Idea 1206 ~
29 October 1997

I am delighted that Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu has launched a Jubilee 2000, a Debt-Free Start for the New Millennium. Jubilee 2000 would fulfill my idea that all debts of the poor countries be forgiven by the rich. Archbishop Tutu says: "This is the Jubilee principle in the book of Leviticus. You cancel any debts still owed; if there are slaves, you act to free them – it is a chance for renewal for everybody".

Yes, this is a great idea: let the whole of humanity seize the chance for renewal offered by our entry into a new century and millennium, at all levels, from the top of the world in the United Nations, down to the local communities, the family and each individual. In spite of my 74 years of age, I will listen to that advice and write down my own, personal pledges for renewal.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude
My father could not understand it. Here was a four years old boy who was going around saying that life was divine and who took his cap off when he met an old person. He asked me: "Why do you greet old people?" I answered: "Because they know so much about life." That was my attitude as a little boy.
