If we had two Presidents they could put their heads together to try and solve problems. They could share their money to get the results they want. What we could do is pray and hope they are good people and will not lead the US to warfare. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 14 Of Writing I approached the same Literature Professor** one day and said to him: "I come from Alsace-Lorraine and our teachers there tell us that we will never be able to write a beautiful French, because we are bilingual." He answered: "Do not believe such rubbish. Follow my advice: select a great author whom you like and copy every day, very slowly, ten lines from his writings. Read once in a while the texts you have copied. I guarantee you that within six months you will write his style." He was right. I later did the same for German and English and kept preciously the notebooks to refresh my style in these languages. ** See "Of Good Teachers", in Chapter I of "The Need for a Global all Humanity Education" * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. WORD FOR THE DAY The unthankful heart...discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings! ~ Henry Ward Beecher More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org

[GMW #1944] New Communities, Regional Unions And Other Forms Of World Cooperation Creating A Well Organized World Union Replacing Nation-States

[GMW #1944] New Communities, Regional Unions And Other Forms Of World Cooperation Creating A Well Organized World Union Replacing Nation-States Friday 23 April 2010, Editor: Easy | RobertMuller.org | Contact | Subscribe | Unsubscribe | Biography | World Core Curriculum | Store | Facebook | Twitter | GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish | Tagalog | Dutch | Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1 to 500 ~ Idea 319 ~    25 May 1995 We must not forget the important historical role played by the nation-state to get us out of the tribal situation and warfares in which humanity lived so long.  But nations must have no illusions: they cannot survive if they cling to their obsolete belief in national sovereignty which is contrary to our henceforth global and planetary requirements.  If they want to survive, they must create new communities and forms of world cooperation, and strengthen immensely the universal United Nations.  A true quantum leap is needed at this point of our evolution.  If not we will see much more disasters, waste, crises and human despair on this planet.  May God inspire leaders of nations to make the drastic necessary quantum leaps into the third millennium, eliminating incredible errors, wastes and dangers to this planet. From the nation-state we must now move to regional unions on the model of the European Union and to a well-conceived, well organized World Union. [GMW #1926] Upholding Ethics Along With Human Rights, Duties And Responsibilities For All Human Activities

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,   Volume III Chapter I - The Span Of Life St. Augustine devoted his whole life to Christianity as the rising sun of a new civilization shining over the rubble of Roman decadence and barbarian violence.  I gave my whole life to the United Nations as the rising sun of a new civilization shining above the troubles of nation-states, excessive power and modern cataclysmic warfare and militarism.
