We can succeed. Several years ago UNESCO commissioned a study on human violence entitled The Seville Statement. In this study prominent scientists, academics and other intellectuals from around the world concluded on a scientific basis that war is not inherent in human beings. War and group violence are learned and passed on from generation to generation. The Seville Statement concluded 'since wars begin in the minds of men, so peace also begins in our minds. The same species that invented war is capable of inventing peace. The responsibility lies within each of us.'" - The above idea comes from the goals and programs of the Association of World citizens in San Francisco - http://worldcitizensunited.org/ Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation Chapter 3 - Our Genial Human Family In my office at the UN I had a table with this list of the major segments of the human family.  It reaches from the total world population to the individual.  On each of these segments, humanity is cooperating actively in one or several of its world organizations: Our Human Family The total world population and its changes Human settlements and migrations Human longevity Races Sexes Children Youth Adults The elderly The handicapped The individual Our levels of nutrition Our levels of health Our standards of life Our skills and employment Our levels of education Our moral levels Our spiritual levels The family Local communities Professions Corporations Institutions Nations Federations, regional communities Religions Multinational business Transnational networks and associations World organizations UN, UNFPA UNCHS UN, WHO UN UN UNICEF UN UN and most agencies UN, WHO UN, WHO UN and all agencies FAO, WHO WHO UN, UNDP, IBRD, IMF, IFC ILO UNESCO UN UNESCO UN UN ILO UN UN UN and all agencies UN UNESCO UN UN UN * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. WORD FOR THE DAY To live without roads seemed one way not to get lost. ~ Naomi Shihab Nye More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org

Will it ever stop? Soon there will be more cars than Americans. And the same is happening in more and more countries. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 1 - The Span of Life Beautify and sanctify every place of Earth where you live, your home, your office, your garden, your village, your city.  It will bring you much happiness. * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. Daily Ray of Hope Photo by Steve Corey | Alabama Hills, Lone Pine, California Nothing can dim the light which shines from within. ~ Maya Angelou More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org

[GMW #3419] Create A World Conference On Visions For The 21st Century And The Third Millennium

[GMW #3419] Create A World Conference On Visions For The 21st Century And The Third Millennium Friday 22 January 2016, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography| World Core Curriculum | Store | Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish| Tagalog | Dutch Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 3500 ~ Idea 3818 ~ I would like to refer again to Idea 643 of Barbara Gaughen Muller that a world conference should be held on visions for the 21st century and the 3rd millennium. Such a conference would deal with the entire range of ideas for a better world from ideas for the individual, the family, the neighborhood, the village or town, the city, the state or province, the nation, the continent, up to ideas for the seas and oceans (71% of the planet), the atmosphere, the climate and the entire Earth. Such a conference could be a great eye opener and contribution to the new century and millennium. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II The Art of Personal Happiness Chapter 2, Of Happiness A young man who read my book "Most of All They Taught Me Happiness" wrote to me that my concluding poem summarized the entire book and that I should publish it as a card for widest possible distribution. I did and it went around the world in several languages, bringing happiness to many. * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children, Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. WORD FOR THE DAY Everyone needs beauty as well as bread, places to play and pray, where nature heals and gives strength to body and soul alike. ~ John Muir More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org

[GMW #2977] Becoming A Rural Planet Of Villages

[GMW #2977] Becoming A Rural Planet Of Villages Wednesday 14 May 2014, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography| World Core Curriculum | Store |Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish| Tagalog | Dutch Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 3500 Idea 3371 ~ France should have this ideal: to become the most rural, reforested, revillagized country on Earth, an example of sanity to be followed by other countries. Yes, a renewed, revillagized world. Reboiser et revillagiser. This should be stimulated with strong subsidies, incentives, tax exemptions and transfer of military expenditures. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume I Chapter 6 I and Creation The most beautiful question a human can ask themself is: "How can I be of service to Creation, a carer of it, a lover of it?" * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. DailyGood Habitual recurrence to the harmony will increase your mastery of it. ~ Marcus Aurelius Timeless Wisdom From Marcus Aurelius Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius' most enduring legacy is not his external power, but his deeply held conviction that each one of us is endowed with the inner power to control our minds and responses to external events. In his extensive compilation of writings, collectively titled 'Meditations', Aurelius describes how to develop a mindset that can deal well with any experiences or emotions that arise. Among these teachings are that your own happiness is up to you. There is good in everyone, and life should be treated as an old, faithful friend. In the words of Aurelius, "Everything contains some special purpose and a hidden blessing; what then could be strange or arduous when all of life is here to greet you like an old and faithful friend?" { read more } Be The Change Take a tip from Aurelius today: There is nowhere that a one can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in one's own mind ... So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
