[GMW #3628] Planetics - The New Consciousness Administration Of Earth - Replaces Politics

[GMW #3628] Planetics - The New Consciousness Administration Of Earth - Replaces Politics Thursday 10 November, 2016, Editor: Easy RobertMuller.org| Contact| Subscribe | Unsubscribe Biography| World Core Curriculum | Store |Facebook | Twitter GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish| Tagalog | Dutch Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000 ~ Idea 4023 ~ I have proposed earlier in these ideas that the word politics (from the Greek 'polis' the city) should be replaced by planetics, the administration of the planet. I'm glad that already in 1991 UNESCO sponsored a colloquium on the subject 'From Politics to Planetics' in which the office of the Prime Minister of France and the French National Foundation of Political Sciences participated. I urge that this linguistic progress be adopted world-wide. It would create a much needed new consciousness of our place and role on this Earth. The United 20 Nations should be the first to give the good example and transform its Department of Political Affairs into a Department of Planetics or Planet Earth Affairs. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 3 - The Miracle of Childhood The role of grandparents and of old people in the development of children, the transmission to them of their wisdom of life, especially through story-telling, is of fundamental importance.  When I was a little boy I apparently took my cap off whenever I met an old person.  My father asked me why I was doing that and I answered: "Because they know so much."  Indeed I received some of the greatest lessons in my life from my only living grandparent, my grandfather the hatmaker.  Today, many more children are luckier: they have the benefit of their grandparents, due to increased longevity. * UN News: UN Chronicle, United Nations News Service, UN Wire Archive References: Earth Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights Rights of: Children,Women, IndigenousPeople To Be Written: Rights of Nature, Birds, Animals, Fish, etc. Heart Quotes Knowing is not enough; we must apply. [GMW #1885] Planetics & Politician Replace Politics & Politician - Their Role Is Of Love For Humans And Love For Our Planet

| RobertMuller.org | Contact | Subscribe | Unsubscribe | | GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish | Tagalog | Dutch | Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1 to 500 ~ Idea 230 ~    25 February 1995 The word "politics" and "politician" (from the Greek "polis", the administration of the city) should be replaced by "planetics" and "planetician".  Even better, the role of politicians should be transformed into love for humans (philanthropists, from the Greek phil, love, and anthropos, man) and love for our planet (gaiaphilists, from Greek GAIA, the goddess Earth and phil, love). Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,   Volume III Chapter I - The Span Of Life A survey of all the people over 100 years old in the United States (75,000 of them) revealed that they attributed their longevity to three virtues: - optimism - devotion to a cause - acceptance of losses. I possess all three.  They have carried me successfully through war and peace to the age of 78. But we have not yet learned to manage our planet well and to obtain the optimum fulfillment, peace and happiness of all human beings. I recommend that planetics, humanism and gaiamanagement become top sciences. * Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 18 Of Education (Inducation) I have come to the conclusion that we need a whole series of new, global, world universities dealing with those great concepts which have since times immemorial helped humanity to survive and to find its way on our mysterious journey in the universe: Universities of hope, of faith, of love, of optimism, of the art of living, of gratitude, of forgiveness, of spirituality, of kindness, of happiness, etc. All such universities should develop and teach a science, a strategy, an art and methodology in their field.
