[GMW #4295] Planet-Wide Communications To Nurture A Better World For Everyone

[GMW #4295] Planet-Wide Communications To Nurture A Better World For Everyone Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

The UN is the first planet-wide broadest institution in all human history and at the same time the most powerless.  I have before me the UN documents for the Second World Assembly on Aging in Madrid in April 2002.

It shows unprecedented changes in the structure of the human society, the elderly increasing rapidly and youth decreasing dramatically, and the consequences of that situation.  Who on Earth would have gathered these statistics for all countries if it had not been the UN?

The UN for the first time in human history gathered and published in 1952 a figure of the world population (2.5 billion people).  Thanks to world conferences on population convened by the UN, instead of 7.3 billion people in the year 2000 we were only 6.1 billion.

Thank God we have the United Nations and shame on governments for not deeply loving it, be grateful to it, using it, supporting it, financing it properly and giving it legal and implementation powers.

The heart aggrandizes, elevates, gives life and blood to thought. A thought, a talk not irrigated by the heart is dry, is insufficient.
