interdependent. If one disappears, all others lose or perish.

Even and especially in old age (the rich or advanced age), life
can pursue its upward course thanks to a passion. That passion
can range over an immense gamut of values and realities: from the
infinitely large (e.g. God) to the very small (e.g. a stamp
collection).
The object may not be so important, but the drive for life, the will for life, the passion for what one does is.
