[GMW #3949] More Nurturing Activities & Less Wasteful Things, More Nurturing Things & Less Wasteful Activities Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4342 ~
Western humanity is being destroyed by too many things and too many activities. The more things and activities will increase the more the western population will decrease. Thus it will already go down by 40 million individuals between now (1.2 billion in 2001) and the year 2050 (1.16 billion).

The Earth: "Dear Robert, this decline will be a blessing for me because western individuals consume thirty times more of my resources than the poor countries."

I: Well, as for the poor countries whose population will increase to 7.7 billion in the year 2050, they better envisage a new economic system of their own instead of following the western model with its excessive overconsumption, half of all its production being waste.

Chapter 6 - I and Creation

I look around at the sky, at the people, at a river, at nature, at a city and I am struck by this overwhelming truth: all this seems absolutely and permanently beyond human comprehension.

And yet I am determined to try to understand.

It is my human duty and nature.
