Americans of the British Colonies in America protested in 1773
against the taxation of tea exports by the Royal British Crown by
organizing the Boston Tea Party. They boarded three ships in
Boston during the night and dumped into the water 342 chests of
tea valued at 9,000 British pounds. Similar tea parties soon
occurred elsewhere in America. The British Government responded
to this latest colonial challenge to crown authority by passing
the Intolerable Acts.
Opponents to multinational companies producing harmful, unethical products might think of similar, highly visible, symbolic parties against corporate colonialism. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 3 Of Consciousness
