I had
specified my top priority recommendations for a proper preparation of
the third millennium. I repeat them here because they remain absolutely
essential if we want to see a better world. Only the last one was
fulfilled.
1. Convening by the UN of a World Conference on Proper Earth Government and Administration. 2. Establishment of an Independent World Commission on Democracy. 3. Absolute necessity for a World-wide Security System, allowing disarmament. 4. Establishment of a World Commission for the Total Denuclearization of the Planet. 5. Establishment of a World Commission for the total Demilitarization of the Planet. 6. Holding by the UN of a World Conference on Violence and the Peaceful Resolution of all Conflicts. 7. An early decision by the UN General Assembly to prepare and celebrate the year 2000. This was fulfilled to a good extent.
Regarding
the first idea I have produced a special paper for the Johannesburg
conference in August 2002 with very concrete proposals. The document is
entitled The Absolute, Urgent Need for Proper Earth Government, I quote
there these words by Theodore Roosevelt when he accepted the 1906 Nobel
Peace Prize: "All humankind would be grateful for all time to the
statesman who could bring about a new structure of international
society."
Almost a hundred years have passed and this dream of Theodore Roosevelt has not yet been fulfilled. Please, let us make an effort to fulfill it by the year 2006, the hundredth anniversary of his receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living Chapter 10 - Of Dreams, Visions and Ideals Everything you would like others to be be it yourself and day after day let your life be an inspiration to them.
