There will even be a United Nations World Conference of Prime Ministers in Johannesburg, South Africa on this subject in September 2002. But this is only a first, insufficient way to deal with the crisis which faces the human species. We must also have the courage to take up the following subjects: - unsustainable economic development or growth - unsustainable population growth - unsustainable production - unsustainable consumption - unsustainable marketing and transportation - unsustainable destruction of the Earth, the air, nature and other species - etc. There should be a new science and discipline taught in universities: the Science of Unsustainabilities, of Limits. It could save our future on Earth. The Limits of Growth, by the Club of Rome already proclaimed it in the 1970's.
