~ Idea 3417 ~
We must have
great audacity
and courage to
save this Earth
from destruction
and to achieve a
better, happier
humanity. We
must wage a
battle against
militarism,
armaments and
the destruction
of nature by big
business, a
battle similar
to the past ones
against slavery,
racism and
colonialism
which we won.
Other major battles should be against overpopulation, overconsumption and for a poverty free humanity. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume I Chapter 6 I and Creation
We are all
children of the sun and of
the Earth. All our matter
comes from the Earth and
all our energy from the
sun. Perhaps this gives us
a clue to our cosmic
reason and destiny.

FRITJOF CAPRA: In your latest book, EcoMind, you pose the question, "Is there a way of perceiving the environmental challenge that is at once hardheaded, evidence based, and invigorating?" And then you write, "I believe it is possible that we can turn today's breakdown into a planetary breakthrough on one condition. We can do it if we can break free of a set of dominant but misleading ideas that are taking us down." ... FRANCES MOORE LAPPÉ: It was a totally unplanned book, and it has changed my life. ... I asked whether we could break through to more of an ecological way of seeing and feeling. ... We should not bless what we're doing now with the term "growth." We should call it what it is, an economy of waste and destruction. ... The challenge is ... "How do we remake our human-made systems to align positively with what we know creates sustainable and resilient communities?" ... { More } More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org Click on any of these tags-labels to see more entries from Robert that have the tag-label: |
