The current admired so-called world economic system leaves in misery 2/3rds of humanity which it exploits; it does not provide full employment; it destroys the environment; it creates the most colossal waste and unnecessary "needs" in all evolution; it does not increase human happiness. And we call it an economic system!
A World Commission of Eminent Persons on a New World Economy should urgently be convened.

you will write more than twenty books translated into several languages
at your retirement you will be the co-founder of the first University for Peace on this planet by the UN in demilitarized Costa Rica
You will become its Chancellor and give your wisdom to students from around the world
You will buy a sacred hill overlooking the University for Peace and write your ideas and dreams for a better world
After the demise of your wife Margarita you will marry Barbara, a wonderful Hungarian much younger wife, who loves dreams and ideas too and wanted to get the Nobel Peace Prize for you
You will receive dozens of awards and peace prizes during your life
You will write your Testament to the UN and two great classics, 5000 Ideas and Dreams for a Better World and The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living
You will be buried on your sacred hill. From your tomb, you will continue to work for world peace and human happiness
In heaven you will be a main adviser to God on peace and happiness
Your grandchildren will preserve your memory and continue your work,
That is all Hearing this in 1944 I would have exclaimed: "This is utterly impossible, crazy, pure fiction and fantasy." And yet, it all became true, a pure magic! Well, dear young people, if this was possible, your future might be magical too, beyond your wildest dreams. I can only guarantee this to you: if your passion is right, the invisible forces of the universe will work for you in the most mysterious, extraordinary, unbelievable ways. | |
