[GMW #3982] What Viable Better World Governance Can Do

[GMW #3982] What Viable Better World Governance Can Do Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4375 ~
I had several successes during my many years of United Nations service but they are by far outweighed by my failures.

Here is a list of the latter which come forthwith to my mind: - no Charter reform - no World Security System, not even an activation of the Military Staff Committee of the UN Security Council - no Regional United Nations Political organs - no nuclear disarmament - no disarmament at all - no demilitarization - no World Energy Agency - no World Transport Agency - no effective world population control - no ratification by the US of environmental treaties - no adequate increase in the UN budget and of the financial capacity of the world organization - no review and reform of the Bretton Woods Agreement on world monetary and financial matters - no direct peoples' representation in the UN - no UN Parliament, not even a consultative one - no democratic election of the Secretary General of the UN, no election of a woman Secretary General of the UN - no implementation of any of my world plans for peace and a better world - no substantial support for the United Nations University for Peace and I could list more.

Chapter 6 - I and Creation
We are both captives and free agents of the universe,
captives of the past and
co-workers of the future.
This is very exciting.
