Capitalism (the total freedom of humans to undertake anything that
was good, beneficial for humans) and communism (doing in common
under authoritative direction what was good for humans) were two
very novel but still primitive, insufficient ideologies born at the end of the 19th century.
At that time the world population was small and the unexploited resources of the Earth seemed unlimited. Both ideologies had in common the use and exploitation of the Earth for the benefit of humans. Today with a world population of 6.1 billion increasing to 8.91 billion in the year 2050 the fate of the Earth has moved to the foreground of the scene. The human race must absolutely come up with a new ideology, values, rules of behavior and a global governing system responsive to this new challenge. Alas one doesn't see any serious attempt to do that. Perhaps the Natural Law Party which recommends human behavior and government according to the laws of nature might be the solution but it is still pretty unknown and modest in comparison with the dominant values, powers and political parties in the world. What is the greatest work of art on Earth?
A healthy, beautiful, well-raised, loving child. Fathers and mothers are the greatest artists on Earth. A happy, loving family is more precious than any Rembrandt or Leonardo da Vinci painting. It is the natural and perennial role of parents to teach, to warn, to protect, to guide, to help, to prepare, to "raise" their children. Children, for their part, have their own predispositions, nature, vocations, gifts, talents, dreams, and loves. The result will be a blending of all these, of the past, the present, and the future. And thus humanity proceeds on its incredible, cosmic evolutionary journey, molded in each of the Earth's hundreds of millions of families and children.
