Once that document is ratified it will no longer be necessary for any nation to budget for defense spending and most military hardware can be gotten rid of." (An idea of Stanley Grovom, Santa Monica, California) * |
| Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III Chapter 3 The Miracle of Childhood | Humanity had an International Year of the Child, an International Year of Youth, two World Assemblies on Aging, five World Conferences on Women, an International Year of the Handicapped and an International Year of the Family. Humanity still needs international years or conferences on love, conception, marriage, motherhood, fatherhood and grandparenthood. * | | Dear Ones: Today is my mother's 80th birthday, and one thing that brings happiness to my heart is that you are still working -and playing - to create peace in this world. She is like you Robert, having come through the holocaust to carry love and kindness into the world - and having fun while doing it! I always remember you not only for your sacred devotion to humanity as you espoused it at the 1993 Parliament of the World's Religions and as the principal speaker in 1995 at Celebrating the Spirit: Toward a Global Ethic, but also most vividly at the Children's Festival in San Francisco that extraordinarily hot summer day when you took off your jacket, and dressed in shirtsleeves and suspenders, gloriously played Beethoven's Ode to Joy on your harmonica! I tell my young daughter, about you so she understands that a life of service is also a life full of joy! I pray this email finds you well and happy. In kindness and love, Aaron | | | | | | | |
