Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 6501 to 7000

~ Idea 6505 ~

Professor Weiss of Poland recommends the creation of a UN Fund for the Control of traffic accidents and rehabilitation and avoidance of such accidents. He writes:

"The uncommonly great increase in the number of traffic accidents, the growing technological development of many countries especially in the field of motorization, and the inadequate development of activities and propaganda to prevent traffic accidents; and also the incomplete treatment of victims of such accidents – make it necessary to work out a special United Nations project that would help to prevent this 'calamity'.

All United Nations agencies should join in that work; and all the directly interested countries or private institutions participating in the insurance of individuals against accidents, also those producing or renting cars (e.g. Avis, Hertz, etc.), should too."

He recommended that a number of years ago. Alas, the UN did not take action beyond the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and transport commissions in the existing UN regional economic commissions. A UN World Transportation Agency has become more and more urgent to deal with this mounting danger for the Earth and for humanity.

That's what I consider true generosity. You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing.
