thought that whenever there is on my surface a mass killing
of humans which you call genocide, it is of benefit to me
because there will be less people damaging or destroying me.
I feel sad to say that, but I cannot help it."

As a result they never die. The same is true of all species, whether they produce seeds or reproduce as we humans do.
