As long as there will be Ministries of War or Defense in 174 nations there will be no peace on Earth. I suggest that the President of the United States in his speech to the heads of states meeting of the UN General Assembly 2000 will announce that the Pentagon will be suppressed and will be replaced by a United States Ministry of Peace as President Eisenhower did after World War II. Its Secretary was Harold Stassen, the last living signer of the United Nations Charter, still alive today at the age of 94 and who should be honored for having held this position. The cold war put an end to it. Now that the cold war is over the United States can reestablish that ministry followed I am sure by many other countries on Earth.
