Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 1 to 500

~ Idea 209 ~ 4 February 1995

There should be no increase in the number of countries having the veto power. Instead, an all-out effort should be made to reduce and eliminate them.

It would be incomprehensible if in the United States five states, say New York, California, Texas, Florida and Alaska, would have the veto power.

It is as incomprehensible for the world.

As a compromise I recommend that existing veto powers be given a maximum number of vetoes (say 10), after which they would lose that privilege.

Advanced age is the time of meditation, of conclusion and wisdom, of story-telling and sharing advice with the little ones and youth as one climbs the last hill of life, with its widest, breathtaking horizon and views.
