In the 'modern' world, almost nobody really 'lives' anymore: everybody is running around, wrestling away from the house and family 'to make money' which becomes more and more main object of life. Products, business, consumption, the media and television are taking us away from ourselves until very little is left.
To solve unemployment, I would urge governments to create a new category of people: people who would accept to live very simply and frugally on the land, without 'employment', and only little payment, simply enjoying life, not overloaded with useless unnecessary products.
Why not try to work out such a new way, providing early retirement, not from life, but from overproduction, overconsumption and busyness. Such people could quit the overcrowded cities and repopulate the deserted rural areas, nationally and worldwide.
Yes, the UN should recommend a worldwide human retirement and resettlement program and fund.
