~ Idea 3071 ~
Someone — the UN preferably — should publish world statistics giving an idea of the number of trees which are being destroyed each year on planet Earth to produce: newspapers books magazines documents stationary paperbacks greeting cards packaging paper health and hygiene, etc. The total and sub-totals would probably be staggering. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter2 Of Happiness
All techniques and methods of happiness have one common element:
they concentrate your attention on happiness, and as a result you
will find happiness often by means other than those recommended to
you.

I moved to the States 20 years ago. Everything we purchased in France was from markets. The fruits and vegetables were seasonal and naturally organic, all dairy was raw and you could leave eggs out for a week. People were healthier and happier. It is so frustrating to see how food has changed over the past 30 years, we really do eat crap now. We do not eat food anymore, we eat chemicals which are forced upon us without knowing and with very little regulation. According to studies, 1 in 4 Americans will get some kind of food borne illness every year. More than 3000 die. What do you expect when the cattle are knee deep in manure, chickens who can't even get up in their feces, antibiotics in most animals and GMO crops growing on artificial fertilizers. What part of that pictures do we not get? Big business certainly gets it! If the Twin Towers was terrorism, so is this. Just my $.02.
