[GMW #2243] Immediate Disarmament In All Countries In Order To Save The Planet Ecologically

I signed today with delight a petition to the United Nations by a Swiss Organization called Global Initiative.

It asks for immediate disarmament in all countries in order to save the planet ecologically.

This is a right approach at this juncture of our evolution and on the eve of a new century and millennium.

School children were asked to go on strike on the third Tuesday of September, day of opening of the UN General Assembly and International Day of Peace. A Swiss newspaper reported: "That was not strike day, that was a huge school celebration."

At our Seattle “hub” event, local topics will be focused on the needs of the Seattle community. Local satellite events around the world are eligible to receive an Event Planner’s Toolkit to follow along with our model, or co-create your own solution-based program. Local Event Hosts who choose to create tangible impact on their community level will be eligible to receive a portion of donations when people select this event on the donations page.

Satellite event hosts and the public at large will be able to access our Live Streaming Videos of the Seattle Hub Conference and major speakers who are in different portions of the world.
At the conference, we will be following a “6 Sector-7 Stage Model” focusing on a particular relevant issue in the Seattle Community in all 12 of the Pillars.
Local event planners may choose to use this model to benefit their communities as well.
