Thirty years
ago people
began to
express
concern about
the fate of
nature. They
were accused
to be bird
watchers.
When the UN Economic and Social Council in 1970 decided to hold a world conference on the environment, a diplomat exclaimed, "The United Nations have opened their door to the bird watchers." Today in 2002 innumerable people have become Earth watchers, very concerned about the future and fate of Mother Earth. This is quite a change from the time of the bird watchers. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home
One
happy human
family of
several billion
individuals on
one little
planet in the
fathomless
universe and
eternal stream
of time, that is
the central,
marvelous
challenge of
tomorrow's Earth
government.

WORD
FOR THE DAY
People are like stained glass windows: They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within. ~ Elisabeth Kübler-Ross More from Robert Muller: RobertMuller.org Subscribe to/or unsubscribe from Robert Muller's GoodMorningWorld.org Click on any of these tags-labels to see more entries from Robert that have the tag-label: |
