[GMW #4667] World Citizen Right Actions Making Beautiful Paradise Of Peace

[GMW #4667] World Citizen Right Actions Making Beautiful Paradise Of Peace Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000

~ Idea 6052~
What an example of the right action for a better world Garry Davis has been to me during all my adult life:

In 1948 at the Bridge of Kehl between France and Germany in Strasbourg, I saw a US pilot camping in a tent. He refused to show a passport because he, Garry Davis, considered himself a world citizen, dismayed as he was for having bombed German cities and killed women and children during the war. I never forgot that scene.

I too decided to devote all my life to peace and I did so for 38 years in the United Nations and now in the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica. I pray God that the film about Garry Davis will move the entire humanity and put a definitive end to obsolete militarism, nuclear weapons, wars and all other forms of official violence.

We must at long last make of our beautiful Planet Earth a complete, true Paradise of Peace.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume II - The Art of Personal Happy Living
Chapter 10 - Of Dreams, Visions and Ideals

In our Peace Park on Mt. Rasur, name of the God of the indigenous children, adjacent to the University for Peace we have a bench of dreams where Barbara and I sit often and formulate our dreams for a magnificent, better, warless, peaceful, happy, demilitarized, disarmed world, for Paradise Earth.

Many visitors come to sit on this bench and formulate their dreams.

A 14 years old Dutch girl, Mara van der Lugt, taught us how to dream:
1. pick up two stones
2. place each in one hand and press them tightly
3. close your eyes and say your dream very intensely in your heart
4. then, throw one stone on the Earth so that the sacred Earth will fulfill your dream
5. keep the other stone, take it home and place it on your desk or nighttable, not to forget your dream.

Several visitors have written to me from various countries that they have built similar dream benches. Mrs. Morton-Marr from Canada is building them in children's peace parks and asks children to keep a diary.

Perhaps it will do a lot of good if many people around the world dream on innumerable benches of dreams.

WORD FOR THE DAY
People often say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder.

This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.

[GMW #3936] Move To The Land, Emigrate To Still Livable Countries

[GMW #3936] Move To The Land, Emigrate To Still Livable Countries Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4329 ~
Intelligent people should begin to flee the world's monstrous cities, to move to the land or to emigrate to still livable countries like Costa Rica.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,
Volume I - The Great Scene of Creation
Chapter 6 - I and Creation

One of the great lessons I have learned from my religion is to make an examination of conscience, a daily balance sheet of good and bad every evening before going to sleep.

It is a practice which should be followed by all religions and peoples of the Earth and made part of the new global, world-wide spirituality. It is a subject which the United Religions Initiative created after the second World Parliament of Religions should place on its agenda.
