The United Nations should convene urgently a world
conference on
unemployment,
to review and
remedy the
tragic current
situation, to
evaluate
further
effects of
population
increase,
scientific and
technological
developments,
the exodus
from the land
to cities, the
changing age
structure of
societies,
including a
redefinition
of employment
and
unemployment.
For instance,
how on Earth
are mothers
who take care
of children,
our new,
all-important
generation,
considered
"unemployed"?*
