The multiplication of conferences around the world is causing a lot of pollution (airplane and car exhausts, nature destruction: building of hotels, conference facilities, etc.) Costa Rican peasants are convinced that exhausts from airplanes are cause of changes in the rainy period. Instead of participating in a conference which requires travel, send them your ideas and proposals as contributions to the subject or objective of the conference. This is what I do more and more.
