[GMW #3746] Proper Earth Management For Benefit Of All Humans & Nature For Today & Tomorrow

[GMW #3746] Proper Earth Management For Benefit Of All Humans & Nature For Today & Tomorrow Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4141 ~
I cannot help it but I constantly return to the problem of words, of linguistics: ecology comes from the Greek oikos and logos (the knowledge, the science of our home, the Earth). Economy is oikos nomos, the regulation, the management of our home. Economy, alas, came before ecology. For a long time we changed the Earth without worrying the least about the consequences on the Earth, on her future. The right thing to do now is to unite economics and ecology and manage the Earth respecting her laws and functioning and preserving her future.

Or we should get rid of the two Greek words and speak of proper Earth management or government based on the science of the Earth? In universities there would be a Faculty of Earth Management in which students would learn the science of the Earth, our part and place in it, and the proper government of the Earth for the benefit of all humans today and tomorrow and the preservation and good care of the Earth. Elizabet Sahtouris, the famous evolutionary scientist proposes Earthism (see Idea 3995).

Chapter 6 - The Rich Age
"Age is a relative matter.  If you continue to work and absorb the beauty in the world about you, you will find that age does not necessarily mean getting gold, at least not in the ordinary sense.

I feel many things more intensely than ever before and life grows more fascinating.

As long as one can admire and love then one is young forever."
~ Pablo Casals

As long as we can do good, be of service, be in love with the miracle of life, then one is young forever.
