Of all Central American countries, Costa Rica is the most peaceful and most prosperous, and has been so for years. Why?
Every Costa Rican will tell you that it is because they abolished the army in 1949 by Constitution and placed themselves under the protection of the security system of the Organization of American States.
Why not conceive that more countries, even the rest of the world would demilitarize and place themselves under a world-wide UN Security System?
