[GMW #2173] Women Appointed To High UN Positions With Full Budgets To Run World Wide Functions

I am so happy that three former Heads of State, all women, as a result of the campaign I started with my novel First Lady of the World, have recently been appointed to very high positions in the UN System:

Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland now UN High Commissioner for Human Rights;
Gro Harlan Brundtland, former Prime Minister of Norway now Director General of the World Health Organization;
and Louise Frechette, former Deputy Secretary of Defense of Canada now Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations.

They will be astonished by the ridiculous small sums put at their disposal to run their world-wide functions, compared with what they had when they were in national service.

I wish that an outgoing President of the United States were appointed Secretary General of the UN. I would like to see their face when they sees their budget!
