On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the UN, the Center of Practical Studies of International Negotiations has launched an essay contest with a prize of 5000 dollars to the student, faculty member or professional who would submit the best essay on "Global government and the institutions with which the international system should equip itself to serve for the next fifty years."

Please sit down, write the essay and send it to that Center before 24 April 1995, at 11 Avenue de la Paix, 1202 Geneva, Switzerland.

The office of Secretary-General of the UN is such a unique, vital function that I recommend to the incumbents to write down their thoughts, observations, world views, dreams, feelings and ideas as they come to them.

I urge them all to leave behind a Testament after completing their office.  I wrote My Testament to the UN, which was published.

Iris says, "Dear Mr. Muller,

I had the privilege of hearing you speak at one or more of the seminars sponsored by Lucis Trust many years ago. Your words have been an inspiration for me. Especially in regard to spirituality at the UN.

With all good wishes, sincerely, Iris.".
