~ Idea 4067~
Nations are too
tense. They should learn to relax,
celebrate together and create with
joy a new world order which will
save and fulfill the Earth and the
human species.
Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 5 - Of Adulthood
This statement by Jose
Figueres, the former President of Costa
Rica who demilitarized his country in 1948
seems particularly appropriate to the
adult age:
Have you ever stood on a mountain and watched the ocean? Have you noticed that the higher you climb, the wider the horizon? So also with humans. To the degree we conquer ourselves, we can see farther across in the landscape of our lives. Each person establishes his own horizon by his spiritual nature.
