fact than an idea or
proposal has no chance
of being adopted
should not be a reason
for not formulating
it. An example given
by the rich is the
following: the
Republican Party in
the United States has
submitted to the US
Congress a draft
legislation according
to which all estate
taxes would be
abolished. This would
mean that the wealth
of the rich would be
inherited by their
children or
descendants without
paying taxes! They
know perfectly that
such a legislation has
no chance of being
adopted. Well, the
Democratic Party could
propose an opposite
legislation asking for
the redistribution of
wealth!
