much better than the UN, the European Union
should help the world and create a Commission
or group of eminent thinkers to offer a plan
for the transformation of the United Nations
into a true World Union.
Being a remarkable model of a democratic world order, much better than the United Nations, the United States should repeat the Philadelphia miracle and offer the world a plan for the transformation of the United Nations into a United States of the World. It took ten years to create the United States of America. It took 43 years to create the European Union. Given the experience gained from these precedents and the urgency of the global problems confronting the planet, let us set as a goal for that task at the time of our entry into the third millennium.
