The future of humanity and of this Earth will be in large
degree the result of what we do and how we live today because
we do everything on such a colossal scale. It is for me
therefore ununderstandable that we do not have more concern
for the future, that there exist no Ministries of the Future
in all governments.
And when the United Nations recommends actions and treaties to save the future they are by and large not accepted, not ratified or not implemented. Future generations, if any, will hold this terribly against us. They will never understand our shortsightedness and wrong human role and behavior today. As I wrote my 5000
Ideas and Dreams for a Better World, I remembered that on my
essays and homework the teachers often wrote: "Des idées"
("Ideas") and sometimes "De bonnes idées" ("Good ideas").
