[GMW #2646] Department Of Peace Replaces Defense Departments

[GMW #2646] Department Of Peace Replaces Defense Departments Idea Dream -Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 3500
~ Idea 3039 ~

As long as there will be Ministries of War or Defense in 174 nations there will be no peace on Earth.

I suggest that the President of the United States in his speech to the heads of states meeting of the UN General Assembly 2000 will announce that the Pentagon will be suppressed and will be replaced by a United States Ministry of Peace as President Eisenhower did after World War II.  Its Secretary was Harold Stassen, the last living signer of the United Nations Charter, still alive today at the age of 94 and who should be honored for having held this position.  The cold war put an end to it.  Now that the cold war is over the United States can reestablish that ministry followed I am sure by many other countries on Earth.

Give happiness to others and you will be repaid a hundred fold.  The law of karma, of cause and effect seldom fails.

My only daughter Sindu looked frightened. Tears were welling up in her eyes. In front of her was a bowl filled to its brim with curd rice. Sindu is a nice child, quite intelligent for her age. She has just turned eight. She particularly detested curd rice...I cleared my throat, and picked up the bowl. "Sindu, darling, why don't you take a few mouthful of this curd rice? Just for Dad's sake, dear." Sindu softened a bit, and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. "Dad, if I eat this entire curd rice, will you give me whatever I ask for?" "Oh sure, darling," I replied. "Promise?" "Promise."" What follows is a beautiful story of a child's compassion.
