The UN Population Division has done a tremendous pioneering job. It was the first to warn the world of the population explosion. But the work must be urgently intensified, accelerated, and world aid increased to avoid a global catastrophe. What are governments waiting for? Similarly a UN Agency on Consumption, dealing with the tragic underconsumption in the poor countries and staggering overconsumption in the rich ones should be created. Ask yourself what your most cherished dream of your early childhood was, and fulfill it now. That is my advice to all Elderhostels and elderly people visiting Costa Rica and the UN University for Peace. Our dreams as children are the inner voice of why we were born, of what the universe and God expect from us. My child's dream was to live on top of the world and to be a peacemaker.
