The world consumption of water has dramatically increased since then. Water is one of the most vital elements of which human life is made (70 percent of our body) and depends on. It will become one of the next biggest global problems of this planet. 13 December 1997 Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude I often hear God saying to me and humanity: "You want to show me your gratitude? It is very simple: be peaceful, just, kind, loving each other and grateful for every day of your life." [GMW #2387] Life Sustainable Conditions Will Become More Important Than Sustainable Development
| [GMW #2387] Life Sustainable Conditions Will Become More Important Than Sustainable Development Monday 6 February 2012, Editor: Easy| RobertMuller.org | Contact | Subscribe | Unsubscribe | Biography | World Core Curriculum | Store | NEW Facebook | Twitter | GMW Blogs: English | Portuguese | Spanish | Tagalog | Dutch | ~ Idea 1228 ~ It is strange that most industries of the world are located in northern regions where for three to four months forests and trees have no leaves to absorb carbon dioxide and to produce oxygen. This is why the northern countries are likely to perish first from atmospheric pollution and oxygen deficiency. Instead of developed and under-developed countries, the world will be divided into livable and unlivable countries. Life sustainable conditions will become more important than sustainable development. 20 November 1997 Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude Suppose humanity lost its eyesight or its hearing, speaking, thinking or loving capacity? Would it not be a catastrophe? Shouldn't we therefore be grateful for being endowed with these stupendous senses and capacities? Is "stupendous" too strong? Well, think how you would feel, if you lost a single one of them! ~ Idea 1248 ~
In 1998 the world will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It will be a great occasion to review this essential field in human progress, its successes and failures, and the new vital human rights and Earth rights which should be considered. We must also take up for the first time human responsibilities and duties including our duties towards the Earth. I foresee that soon the UN Commissioner for human rights will become the Commissioner for Human Rights and Duties. 10 December 1997 Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude During the war, I often heard my father exclaim: "I promise to God that when this war is over, I will never complain again as long as I live." But he did not keep his promise. He was only human.

It should give yearly prizes to countries, local governments and firms which have put a halt or limit to Earth destructive, non-essential development. 9 December 1997 Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude To say thank you is not enough. To do good is the real thanks. But be. -- Archibald MacLeish Inspiration of the Day: "I started writing this terrible, I call it an awesomely bad, novel. I was going out with this French woman and I told her about it. I told her 'This book is just juvenile. I don't know how to do this.' She said, I have a friend of the family, a writer, and maybe he can help you with it. I agreed with that. So the next thing I know, I meet this little French guy with the glasses. He says to me, 'I don't want to read your manuscript, but from what you've been telling me, it seems to me you need to get control over the language. So it might be good for you to read poets. Read poets and try to get control over the language.' That person, I didn't know who he was at the time, turned out to be Jean Paul Sartre." --Basketball player turned renowned poet, Quincy Troupe, eloquently describes his one-of-a-kind journey. Here. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume II Chapter 11 - Of Gratitude At least once in a while, if not often we should thank every organ of our body, our heart, our brain, our lungs, the trillions of little cells who faithfully, day and night, give us such wonderful service. They need, they are thirsty of some encouragement to function well and not to fall sick or give up. Gratitude might be a very important factor of good health. Why not try it. It is so simple.
