[GMW #4070] End Nonsensical Growth Of Monstrous Cities

[GMW #4070] End Nonsensical Growth Of Monstrous Cities  Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4463 ~
It is absolutely incomprehensible that the United States does not put an end to the nonsensical further growth of its monstrous cities, giving a bad example to the rest of the world.

No, the 'growth' has to continue until the cities will be deserted, abandoned, left valueless.

Future generations will not believe it.

Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home

I had in my office at the UN a drawing made by UN cartographers: it showed the biosphere or sphere of life, a little layer of no more than a few miles reaching into the atmosphere and into depths of the seas. In it all life of our solar system is located. Beyond and below it there is not a microbe left. I asked the cartographers to reduce the radius of the Earth to one meter: the biosphere appeared merely as a line not bigger than an egg shell!

To politicians who visited my office I said: "This is what you are playing with. This is what you are filling with conflicts, games of power, money, interests, nations and weapons.

Why are you harmful to that incredible, delicate so precious biosphere? Please be their healing, loving guides and statues will be erected to you."

[GMW #4069] Be A Hundred Percent Devoted To An Ideal Which Is Right For The Moment Of Evolution

[GMW #4069] Be A Hundred Percent Devoted To An Ideal Which Is Right For The Moment Of Evolution Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4462 ~
My life, having been brought here to this paradise of nature in demilitarized Costa Rica, on a sacred magic mountain, shows that my whole life was magic. If one person is a hundred percent devoted to an ideal or a dream which is the right one at a particular moment of evolution, then invisible forces work for that person and help fulfill the dreams. We become aides, co-workers of evolution.

Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home

A being from outer space who would see our planet for the first time would expect it to be inhabited "inside", as is a spaceship. But we live "on" it, stand on it, cultivate it, build above it, breathe the oxygen emitted from it, heat ourselves at its sun, and do not have to live inside it. A strange, lucky, planet indeed with its thin biosphere of constantly renewed life which warms and feeds itself revolving around a glowing overhanging star called the sun.

[GMW #4068] A Loving Woman As Secretary General Of The United Nations

[GMW #4068] A Loving Woman As Secretary General Of The United Nations Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4461 ~
I: Dear Mother Earth, I would like you to have the final word for my more than 4000 Ideas and Dreams. It might be the right and most important one of all.

The Earth: "It is that humanity is dominated and governed by males. In the fifty-five years of the United Nations you have not had a single woman Secretary General. In hundreds of years of government of the United States and France, to give just these two examples, there has never been a single woman president.

And once in a while when a woman is elected head of a government she has to be an 'iron woman' not a loving one. Have you ever heard of a woman being a general of an army? And look at the giant business corporations. There is barely a handful of women who are presidents of these new powers.

I am glad that you wrote the novel First Lady of the World in which a woman is the Secretary General of the UN."

Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home

God has given us an inestimable capacity to focus our senses, our mind, our heart and our lives from the infinitely large to the infinitely small.  We can see both the stars and heavens and the traces of atomic sub-particles in a bubble chamber.

We can love the sky afar or a flower or brook near by.  We can tremble at the passionate sound of Beethoven or at the humble song of a bird. We can live with a gigantic mind embracing the entire universe or as a passionate collector of little stamps. We can live with a religious heart encompassing God and all living beings or as parents loving dearly each other and their children.

[GMW #4067] Ending The Violence Of Highly Civilized - White - Countries & All Other Countries

[GMW #4067] Ending The Violence Of Highly Civilized - White - Countries & All Other Countries Idea Dream - Robert Muller's Ideas 3001 to 4000
~ Idea 4460 ~
Regarding situations of violence I remember these three:

1. We lived in a very poor street of a French city on the border with Germany in Alsace- Lorraine. Many very poor workers families lived there. My father had started a little hatmaking shop there. We were very poor too. What really shocked me was the fact that when the workers were paid on Saturday and came home from the factory, they went to the bar and they drank a lot. Then one could hear some of them beating their wives late in the evening. Perhaps these workers were looking for an escape from their miseries by drinking. They felt good as a result of the alcohol but then it had this dismal effect on them. Thank God our father did not drink and we were spared that misery in our family.

2. In September 1939, after having been refugees already in 1938, we were again asked to leave our homes within a few hours. I was sitting in my attic high up in our house reading romantic literature. My mother came up and said to me, "Son, wrap a few clothes of yours. We have to evacuate the city by twelve o'clock. Do it right away. There is no moment to lose." I answered her, "What do I have to do with Mr. Hitler and his wars? I am entitled to my happiness and will not change my life because of the insane dreams of this madman." My mother looked at me, had no comment, but slapped me in the face almost knocking me out. And she left the room. I had gotten her message!

3. Then there were the horrors I saw in World War II, especially by the Nazis. I remember seeing the dead remains of French prisoners they had burned alive. The dead bones of their hands and legs were bound with barbed wire! We of the French Resistance were not very good either. When we captured a German or a French collaborator we forced the head of the man or the woman into a bucket of water until they suffocated. And we repeated this until they told the truth, denounced other collaborators.

And all this was happening between two highly civilized, white countries, France and Germany.

Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living,

Chapter 2 - Our Miraculous Planetary Home

These words uttered by 96 years old Pablo Casals have been a great guide in my life:

"The child must know that he is a miracle, a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been and until the end of the world there will not be another child like them. They are a unique thing, from the beginning to the end of the world.

Now, that child acquires a responsibility: `Yes, it is true, I am a miracle. I am a miracle like a tree is a miracle, like a flower is a miracle. Now, if I am a miracle, can I do a bad thing?  No, I can't, because I am a miracle."

"God, Nature. I call God Nature, or Nature God. And then comes this other thought:

I am a miracle that God or Nature has made.  Could I kill?  Could I kill someone?  No, I can't.  Or another human being who is a child like me, can he kill me?  I think that this theory can help to bring forth another way of thinking in the world. The world today is bad; it is a bad world.  And it is because they don't talk to the children in the way that the children need."
