Sitting in front of such a shop at the airport of Costa Rica waiting for a plane to take me to the first meeting of the World Commission on Global Consciousness and Spirituality in Canada I was shocked by the numerous sales to passengers, mostly for gifts. Yes, alcohol and smoking transformed into gifts, into gestures of friendship and love! The UN Civil Aviation Organization should publish yearly statistics on such sales world-wide. It would create a shock. Governments and the international community would react to it. I wonder if such shops and sales are allowed in the airports of Muslim countries which totally condemn the production, transportation, sales and consumption of alcohol, (Arab word meaning the devil). But the time will soon come when the inbuilt, natural land of this Earth will be valued much higher than the roads, the highways, the buildings, the skyscrapers and the airports. The Earth: "Thank you so much dear Robert for saying that. Remember the calculations by a reputed group of economists from various countries according to whom the product of my nature is significantly higher than all the national products of humanity's industries and constructions combined." For the five thousand 'minorities' on this planet, for humanity, for religions, for nations, for languages, for cultures, for races, for coalitions? At this stage of our evolution we should govern and organize ourselves for the preservation and conservation of the Earth and the birth of a peaceful, happy, wholesome human family. Then we learned that the sun was not turning around the Earth but that the Earth was circling around the sun. So we thought that the sun was the center of the universe. Then we learned that the sun is only a small star turning around the axis of a galaxy of stars. Then we learned that this galaxy is circling around the pole of a cluster of galaxies which in turn is rotating around the pole of a spheric expanding universe! How small and diminished we have become! Scientists further tell us that time, distance, speed, mass and energy are all relative. But, if this is so, then perhaps we are not so small after all! We might even be the only planet with life in a universe of fire, gases, atomic explosions and interstellar voids! Our conditions might be unique:  the right distance from a sun not to burn and not to freeze, the right mass to retain water and an atmosphere, the right rotation and orbit, the right atomic density and chemical composition. So we might after all be a true showpiece, a unique, miraculous success of the cosmos.  What responsibility this would mean! What change of thinking, concerns, policies and behavior it would require from our political leaders!  What immense human pride, gratitude and truly religious feeling it would command from us!
