The two latest demilitarized countries are Panama and Haiti, thanks to the efforts of Oscar Arias, former President of Costa Rica. All governments would have basically the same ministries and departments, except for necessary regional variations (e.g. Ministries of the Deserts, Ministries for Arctic Areas, etc.) 2. All nations would hold parliamentary elections in the same year and for the same duration. 3. All parliaments would designate one or several parliamentarians representing them at the United Nations. But nobody listens to me. Hence the need for repetition. My wife Barbara, a public relations expert, tells me that a new idea has to be repeated seven times until it is accepted. It was turned down at that time, the bureaucrats saying that all the Secretary General has been asked to do by governments is to make a yearly report on the work of the organization and not a State of the World Report. I still believe more than ever that there should be on the agenda of the General Assembly, a yearly item entitled State of the World and Prospects of the Future.
