Idea 4165 ~
Reading in 2001 the journal of my six months mission to Cyprus
in 1964 I wrote this after visiting some extraordinary, old,
beautiful places of human civilization:
Sunday 1 November 1964 I think once again that life is too short to embrace all the beauty, all the wealth, all the treasures offered by this marvelous planet. The twentieth century has finally opened to humans the vast spaces of the world and its most distant places. But progress has been less rapid to increase the duration of human life, although here too successes have been achieved. Should not all political leaders adopt peace and justice as the topmost priorities so that all living beings could enjoy the happiness, the miracle to live on planet Earth? What treasures of life I will take along with me in eternity. What a gratitude I will express to God! Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Return to Mother Earth Pray for a good, peaceful death during your sleep. Pray God to take you gently to Him when you are least conscious and have already half left this world, for instance during an out-of-the-body experience.

In California an appeal has been addressed to the population by
the electricity companies that if they reduce by 20% their
consumption of electricity this year they will receive an
equivalent repayment of what they paid last year.
Well, that is the beginning of wisdom. In Costa Rica a household which uses less electricity than a certain level will not be billed for that month. I have received several non-billings. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Return to Mother Earth
If I were buried in a sunny country of this planet
I would be reborn as a vegetable, a tree or any other living form
of that country, possibly as another human. By selecting the place
of my burial I have the choice of my rebirth.
This is why families and people of the same region and religion want to be buried in the same place as their ancestors. They want their remains to stay where they loved and saw the light of day. Their chances of rebirth are greater. We should all have the right to a nearby burial ground.

Most of the United States is geared to new inventions, new
industries, new production, new consumption, more economic output,
more economic growth, more 'goods' and products, more
construction, more road building, more consumption, more new
activities of any sorts.
This is their utmost priority and great success until recently when the question of the environment, the fate of the Earth and of her vital elements came to the fore. At this stage the mammoth US consortium of interests, corporations and values has difficulty to admit the existence of environmental concerns. Hence the US opposition to internationally agreed treaties and measures to save the environment. It will take a few severe crises and several years until the United States will join in international actions. Alas, so much unnecessary damage will have been done in the meantime, not the least by the imitation of the US by many countries. Just think of the vanishing of a species every five hours these days! Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Return to Mother Earth The indigenous people of Guatemala cultivate love relationships with death. They keep their coffin near their house, place flowers on it, talk to it, get accustomed to it, because it will be their longest, permanent home.

~ Idea 4162 ~
Every human being should be considered a miracle and be educated
to make a contribution to the further evolution of a peaceful,
happy, wonderful humanity and Earth.
Each human being at their death should be able to say: I did good during my life. My life was really worthwhile. I enjoyed it greatly. What a wonderful world it would be if we implemented these two simple rules or objectives. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - Return to Mother Earth O death! I should not hate you. You are only doing your job. You have watched over my shoulder during all my life, reminding me to value the world, its beauties, its living beings and my miraculous temporary life. And you will bring me peace, eternal peace. O death! Forgive me. I was not told that you will be with me much longer than the angel of life. I should have thought of you more often, befriended you, loved you while alive and seen you as my companion during eternity. I have neglected and underestimated my two longest and most faithful companions: God and Death!

Regarding ways to assure a better people's representation at the
United Nations, two first progresses could be considered:
1. To create a Consultative World Parliament of the United Nations, as was done in Europe to facilitate the creation of the European Union. The Parliament of Europe has recommended it to the UN. 2. To make the Union of International Associations in Brussels a full specialized agency of the United Nations. Robert's The Miracle, Joy and Art of Living, Volume III - The Seasons of Life Chapter 7 - Return to Mother Earth
I believe that only those who see themselves after
their death will survive in the memory of humankind.
As Socrates said: "The nearest way to glory is to strive to be what you wish to be thought to be." Or as U Thant said: "I want to be remembered as a kind and good man who understood others."
