At that time the world population was small and the unexploited resources of the Earth seemed unlimited. Both ideologies had in common the use and exploitation of the Earth for the benefit of humans. Today with a world population of 6.1 billion increasing to 8.91 billion in the year 2050 the fate of the Earth has moved to the foreground of the scene. The human race must absolutely come up with a new ideology, values, rules of behavior and a global governing system responsive to this new challenge. Alas one doesn't see any serious attempt to do that. Perhaps the Natural Law Party which recommends human behavior and government according to the laws of nature might be the solution but it is still pretty unknown and modest in comparison with the dominant values, powers and political parties in the world. Then, for the first time in history, after two world wars in the twentieth century an institution was born in which all those groups called nations sought to obtain the best for all of them. This led to an incredible population explosion and at the end of that century, humans discovered that they were damaging, destroying the Earth, the basic elements on which they lived. The word environment was coined to express this concern, two world conferences on the environment were held in 1972 and 1992 and Ministries of the Environment were created in all nations. This is where we stand today. What will come next? What shall we do next? Is what we do to save the environment sufficient? Will we have to come up with bold, great new measures allowing us to survive and reach human fulfillment without destroying our planetary home and natural elements? Rasur in Costa Rica, above the UN University for Peace, I was deeply enthralled by the announcement that there will be a great Costa Rican celebration of World Environment Day on 5 June at the University for Peace. It reminded me of the birth of the idea of holding the first world environment conference, (see A Point in History, in Volume VI). Yes, what a blessing to see a World Environment Day on a sacred hill where the indigenous God of children appeared to them and prophecized that from that hill a civilization of peace and nature protection will extend to the entire world. I had just finished my 4000 Ideas and Dreams for a Better World and I wondered if I should stop or continue to write down more of them. I received the message that I should continue. Then at dawn on the following morning, sitting at my desk with one of the most beautiful, inspiring views on Earth, I found in the drawer an old dilapidated text which had not been thrown away. It was the indigenous invocation GREAT SPIRIT, GRANT US STRENGTH AND DIGNITY TO WALK A NEW TRAIL. http://goodmorning-world.blogspot.com/2016/06/great-spirit-grant-us-strength-and.html To find that text was one of those mysterious circumstances in which there was a message. It was that it should be the Introduction to my 4001 to 4500 ideas and dreams. Below the name of the author I added: "endorsed by Kogyun Deyo" (Spider Boy of the House of Mica), the name the Hopis gave me when they invited me to Hautevilla in Arizona (see Volume III, pg. 36). The duty given to me by the Hopis was to spin a big spider web to catch in it all evil on Earth and throw it far away into the universe. My 4000 ideas were part of it, but there remained so much more to do. May God and you, dear readers, help me to become a successful Kogyun Deyo. Together we must spin the vast spider web and get rid once and forever of all evil, hatred, wars and armaments from this heavenly, miraculous, beautiful planet. Let us all become Kogyun Deyos and Kogyun Deyas, Spider Boys and Spider Girls of Planet Earth.
